The Seidel II cabinet formed the state government of the Free State of Bavaria from December 9, 1958 to January 22, 1960 . In the election for the fourth Bavarian state parliament on November 23, 1958, the government under Prime Minister Hanns Seidel ( CSU ) , which had existed since October 1957, was confirmed and he continued the coalition with the All-German Bloc / Federation of Expellees and Disenfranchised and the FDP . The government had a majority of 126 of the 204 seats in the newly elected state parliament. Hanns Seidel had to resign on January 22, 1960 for health reasons, he was followed by Hans Ehard , who was Prime Minister from 1946 to 1954, with the Ehard IV cabinet .
