Johannes Hintersberger (born December 27, 1953 in Augsburg ) is a German management consultant and member of the Bavarian state parliament for the CSU parliamentary group.

Life and work

After completing his military service ( Lieutenant Colonel of the Reserve) from 1975 to 1977, Johannes Hintersberger studied German , history and Catholic theology at the University of Augsburg ( state examination ). Hintersberger completed another degree in political science with a master's degree . He was the spokesman for the Christian Democratic Students' Ring (RCDS) within the university . Hintersberger worked from 1990 to 2002 as a full-time city ​​councilor (since 2002 honorary) as well as economic consultant and from 1983 to 1990 and 2002/03 he was a manager of the Chamber of Crafts for Swabia.

He is a member of the Catholic student association KDSt.V. Algovia Augsburg in the CV and is also a member of the board of trustees of the University of Augsburg. In addition to his professional activities, Hintersberger was a youth leader for many years and is now a member of the supervisory board of FC Augsburg . He is married and has five children.

Hintersberger joined the CSU in 1971 and became local chairman in 1992. Since 1997 he has held the office of deputy district chairman of his party in Augsburg, since 2011 he has been district chairman.

Hintersberger was elected directly to the state parliament in 2003 in the Augsburg-Stadt-West constituency with a first-vote share of 55.6 percent. The SPD candidate Willi Leichtle only received 21.9 percent of the vote. He represented the CSU parliamentary group until 2013 in the committee for environmental protection and consumer protection (environmental committee) and in the committee for submissions and complaints . He is chairman of the defense policy working group of the CSU state parliamentary group. After the state elections in 2013, Hintersberger was initially State Secretary in the State Ministry of Finance, State Development and Homeland. In June 2015, he moved to the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs as State Secretary . In March 2018, Hintersberger was dismissed as State Secretary by Markus Söder and after his re-election to the Bavarian State Parliament in 2018, he was a member of the State Budget and Financial Affairs Committee in the Bavarian State Parliament.
