Angelika Schorer (born August 12, 1958 in Kaufbeuren ) is a German politician of the CSU . She has been a member of the Bavarian State Parliament for constituency 711 Marktoberdorf since 2003 .

She is married, has four children and lives in Beckstetten (district of Jengen ).

education and profession

After obtaining his secondary school leaving certificate, Schorer did an apprenticeship as a bank clerk and worked from 1975 to 1982 as an employee of the district and city savings bank Kaufbeuren. Since 1981 she has been a farmer in a full-time and apprenticeship company with a focus on dairy farming and a forestry company that was established in 1990.

Political party

In 1995 Schorer joined the CSU and worked in several working groups of the party. She became deputy district and local chairwoman of the CSU, district chairwoman of the Women's Union and district and district chairwoman of the CSU working group on agriculture (AGL). She has been CSU district chairman since 2009. She is the state treasurer of the CSU.

Communal functions

Schorer is also county councilor and deputy district administrator of the district Ostallgäu . She was a councilor in Jengen.

Parliament

In October 2003 she was elected to the Bavarian State Parliament (15th electoral period) in the constituency of Marktoberdorf with 61.94% of the first vote. She was a member of the committees for “Local Issues and Internal Security” and for “Social Affairs, Family and Work”. Since 2013 she has been chairwoman of the Committee on Food, Agriculture and Forestry and secretary of the Presidium (17th electoral term). According to her own statement, her political focus lies in the areas of economy, tourism, agriculture as well as youth and family. Schorer is currently a member of the Committee for Housing, Construction and Transport in the Bavarian State Parliament.

Other offices and memberships

Angelika Schorer is also a member of several cultural and charitable organizations, deputy chairwoman of the Ostallgäu district association and chairwoman of the Swabian district association of the Bavarian Red Cross , member of the Bavarian State Health Council , managing director of an agricultural self-help organization, and honorary chairwoman of the Rural Family Counseling Association (BFB) in the diocese of Augsburg .

On January 14th, 2009 Angelika Schorer was elected deputy chairwoman of the women working group of the CSU parliamentary group in Wildbad Kreuth.

In 2018 she received the Bavarian Order of Merit .
