Hans Georg Reichhart (born June 20, 1982 in Burgau ) is a German politician ( CSU ). Reichhart was state chairman of the Junge Union Bayern (October 2013 to August 2019), a member of the Bavarian state parliament and State Minister for Housing, Building and Transport in the Söder II cabinet . In January 2020, he announced his resignation on February 1, 2020 in order to concentrate on his candidacy as district administrator in the Günzburg district . In the Söder I cabinet , he had previously been State Secretary in the Ministry of Finance, State Development and Homeland from March 2018 . In the local elections in 2020 Reichhart was elected Günzburger District.

Life

Hans Reichhart grew up in Jettingen-Scheppach . From 1988 to 1992 he attended the Scheppach primary school and from 1992 to 2001 the St. Thomas Gymnasium Wettenhausen. He then did his military service in the Transport Battalion 220 in the Prinz-Eugen-Kaserne in Günzburg from 2001 to 2002 .

Hans Reichhart is a Roman Catholic, has been married to Johanna Reichhart since 2012 and has two children. His father of the same name (* 1952) was the first mayor of Jettingen-Scheppach from 2002 to April 2020.

education

After studying law from October 2002 to July 2006 at the University of Passau and Capital University in Columbus (Ohio) , he passed the First State Examination in July 2006. Was Reichhart 2007 at Passau University with a thesis on Asset Recovery in criminal proceedings for Dr. jur. PhD. From October 2007 to November 2009 he did his legal clerkship at the Regional Court of Passau. The Second State Examination followed in November 2009. From January 2010 to September 2011 he was a judge at the Dillingen District Court, from September 2011 to September 2012 the public prosecutor at the Augsburg Public Prosecutor's Office and from September 2012 to October 2013 again a judge at the Dillingen District Court.

Party career

Hans Reichhart joined the Junge Union in 1997 and the CSU in 1998. From 2011 to 2014 he was district chairman of the Junge Union in Swabia . He resigned this position in January 2014 after being elected regional chairman of the Junge Union Bayern.

Activity as a mandate holder

Hans Reichhart was elected to the market council of his home town Jettingen-Scheppach in 2008. In the 2013 state elections , he entered the Bavarian state parliament via the list in the Schwaben constituency , but left because of the result of the 2018 state elections . In March 2014 he was elected to the district council in the district of Günzburg . At the beginning of the district assembly in 2014, he was appointed chairman of the CSU parliamentary group in the Günzburg district assembly.

"Schottdorf Affair"

As a member of the “Labor” investigative committee of the Bavarian State Parliament, Hans Reichhart accused the former head of the special police commission on fraud investigations against doctors and the Augsburg Schottdorf laboratory for grossly illegal behavior. Reichhart's allegations later turned out to be false. The police officer concerned filed a complaint in 2015 for defamation against the CSU politician. In July 2015, the public prosecutor closed their preliminary investigations because Reichhart's allegation was incorrect, but he did not act deliberately.
