Hubert Hafner

Hubert Hafner (born July 18, 1952 in Ichenhausen ) is a German lawyer and local politician ( CSU ). Since May 1st, 1996 he has been the district administrator of the Swabian district of Günzburg . Hafner is Roman Catholic.

Career

Hafner studied law. His political career began in 1976 when he joined the Junge Union . Three years later he came to the CSU. As their candidate, he moved into the city council of Ichenhausen for the first time in the local elections in the spring of 1978, where he was initially a sports officer and deputy parliamentary group leader and from 1984 to 1990 chairman of the CSU parliamentary group. In spring 1990 he was elected mayor of the city of Ichenhausen. After the local elections in 1996, he changed to the office of the district administrator of the district of Günzburg on May 1, 1996 as successor to Georg Simnacher .

Hafner has five children and is married to Elisabeth Hafner.

In 2019 he received the Bavarian Constitutional Medal in silver.
