Franz Rappell (born November 7, 1895 in Graz , † October 29, 1983 in Vienna-Ottakring ) was an Austrian politician ( NSDAP ). Rappell was a regional councilor in the Lower Austrian regional government and a member of the Reichstag .

biography

Rappell attended elementary and community school before graduating from commercial college. He learned the profession of commercial clerk and studied at a secondary school after participating in the First World War . After the end of the war Rappell worked as a bank clerk for the Lower Austrian Escompte Society in Vienna . Rappell joined the NSDAP in 1928 and became SA leader in 1930 . He initially cited Standard 84 and in February 1935 took over the leadership of the SA Brigade in Lower Austria . On May 14, 1935, Rappell was arrested for his political activities and released without notice. He was imprisoned for six months in the Wöllersdorf detention camp and, due to his illegal activity, sentenced to ten months of strict arrest for secret bundling and eleven months of strict arrest for activities hostile to the state.

After the National Socialists came to power , Rappell became leader of the SA Brigade 93 on March 12, 1938 and a member of the National Socialist Reichstag in 1938 . In addition, from March 12, 1938 to May 24, 1938, he was regional councilor in Lower Austria, regional government hunter and from February 1939 an honorary member of the People's Court . On August 1, 1939, Rappell took over the leadership of SA Brigade 90 (Vienna East).
