Franz Stiebitz

Franz Stiebitz (born July 24, 1899 in Techobusitz ; † December 12, 1945 ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).

Live and act

After attending elementary school and secondary school , Franz Stiebitz joined the heavy field artillery regiment No. 26, Leitmeritz , in March 1917 . Stiebitz took part in the First World War as a soldier . From 1918 to 1922 he was trained at the Agricultural Academy and in the agricultural department of the Tetschen-Liebwerd Technical University , where he obtained an agricultural and engineering degree. Then he settled down as a farmer.

In 1935 Stiebitz was appointed district farmer leader of the Sudeten German Party (SdP). In 1936 he became chairman of the Sudeten German farmers' council and in 1938 chairman of the office of German agriculture and forestry in Czechoslovakia . In the course of the escalation of the Sudeten crisis , he joined the Sudeten German Free Corps , where he became battalion leader. After the German annexation of the Sudeten areas in the autumn of 1938 by the National Socialist German Reich , he took on tasks as state chief department II and member of the Reichsbauernrat . After the supplementary election of December 4, 1938, Stiebitz joined the National Socialist Reichstag , to which he was a member until the end of Nazi rule in spring 1945, on the proposal for a Reich election for the Sudeten German territories . From around 1943 until the end of the war he was the country's farmers 'leader in the Sudetenland regional farmers' association.

Stiebitz is said to have been executed in Czechoslovakia in 1945 for desertion.
