Franz Triebs

Franz Triebs (born November 7, 1864 in Glogau , Province of Silesia , † December 27, 1942 in Berlin ) was a German canon lawyer .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1883, Franz Triebs studied Catholic theology at the Universities of Breslau and Münster . After graduation in 1888 to doctor of theology and the priesthood on June 23, 1888 in Breslau, he was a chaplain in Waldenburg , then in March village on the Bober and Schonau on the Katzbach . In 1891 he became pastor in Schwedt an der Oder , in 1893 pastor in Militsch . After graduating as Dr. phil. at the University of Bonn he was a vicar in Berlin, where he studied law for six semesters. Then he was an unskilled worker at the Breslau diocese archives, completed his habilitation at the Breslau University for Canon Law and was appointed associate professor in 1905 and in 1910 full professor for canon law at the Faculty of Catholic Theology. In 1919 he received his doctorate in both rights at the University of Göttingen . In 1930 he retired. He then worked from 1930 to 1938 as an official of the Archdiocese of Berlin .
