Franz Xaver Greil

Franz Xaver Greil (born February 24, 1819 in Oberbreitenau , † December 14, 1871 in Passau ) was a German professor and member of the Reichstag .

Greil studied philosophy in Passau and theology in Munich , from 1845 to 1855 he was a teacher at the Latin school and the grammar school in Passau . In 1855 he became professor of philology and history at the Royal Lyceum in Passau.

From 1869 to 1871 he was a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Deputies for the electoral districts Grafenau and Regen . In 1871 he was for a few months until his death for the center member of the Reichstag for the constituency of Lower Bavaria 3 (Passau).
