Franz Zajicek (architect)

Franz Zajicek (born April 13, 1912 in Vienna ; † 2006 ) was an Austrian architect .

Life

Zajicek attended the public school in Vienna and then trained as a carpenter. This was followed by training as a technical draftsman in Michael Mucha's studio. From 1933 to 1934 he was an evening student at Oskar Strnad's master class at the Vienna School of Applied Arts (stage design and interior design). From 1936 Zajicek worked independently.

In World War II, engaged, he lost in 1945 in a bombing raid his apartment in Vienna and moved to Waidhofen an der Ybbs . As a result, he worked a lot in Lower Austria . He lived in Gresten for a long time and retired in 1982.

Franz Zajicek started out with numerous interior and business furnishings. After the war he was primarily responsible for building the substations in Vienna.
