Franz von Glasenapp (District Administrator)

Franz von Glasenapp (* around 1680; † 1737 ) was a Prussian district administrator in the Demmin-Treptow district of Western Pomerania .

He attended the Thorner Gymnasium in 1688 and the University of Rostock in 1698 . He was already commissarius in the Demmin-Treptow district when he took over the Barkow , Leussin , Zarrenthin, Klinkenberg and Kruckow estates from Joachim Friedrich von Podewils in 1712 . In 1716 he bought the Bentzin estate from Philipp Erdmann von Parsenow for 10,000 thalers . Franz von Glasenapp later became district administrator in the Demmin-Treptower district.

From his marriage to Esther Dorothea von Podewils had six sons, including

  • Franz Christian (1712–1771), court judge in Köslin, district administrator and district director in the district of Schlawe and Pollnow
  • Peter (1713–1787), district administrator in the Demmin-Treptower district
