Franz Christian von Glasenapp

Franz Christian von Glasenapp (* around 1712 ; † March 28, 1771 in Pollnow ) was a German district administrator in the Schlawe-Pollnow district .

Life

He came from the noble Pomeranian family von Glasenapp . His father Franz von Glasenapp (* around 1680, † 1737) was a district administrator in the Demmin-Treptow district . His mother was Esther Dorothea nee von Podewils .

Franz Christian von Glasenapp studied at the University of Greifswald from 1733 . He enrolled at the same time as his brothers, including Peter von Glasenapp , who later, like his father, became district administrator in the Demmin-Treptow district.

In 1738 Franz Christian von Glasenapp became a member of the government in Stettin. In 1744 he moved to the court of Köslin as court judge . In 1749 he became district administrator of the Schlawe-Pollnow district , where he was allowed to lead the title government councilor . Around 1764 he took his leave, allegedly because of illness, but in 1765 he tried - albeit in vain - for the post of governor in Bublitz . He died in 1771.

Upon the death of his uncle Joachim Ernst von Glasenapp, the old Glasenapp fiefdom of Pollnow , which included the castle, the Vorwerk, jurisdiction over the city of Pollnow, the farming village of Jatzingen and much more, fell to Franz Christian von Glasenapp and his five brothers after a settlement from 1738 to Franz Christian von Glasenapp alone. Franz Christian von Glasenapp also owned the village of Rochow . After his death there were bankruptcy proceedings in which Colonel Friedrich Ernst von Wrangel Pollnow and the other goods acquired.

He was married to Anna Clara von Glasenapp .
