Michael Ernst von Boehn

Michael Ernst von Boehn (born November 16, 1720 in Ziegnitz , † March 1, 1773 in Grumbkow ) was district administrator of the Schlaweschen district in Western Pomerania .

He came from the noble Pomeranian family von Boehn . His father George Christoph von Boehn († 1726) was the heir to Ziegnitz and Besow in the Schlaweschen district (since 1716 he had owned the greater part of Ziegnitz and part of Besow); his mother Dorothea Adelheid was born by von Massow .

Boehn studied from 1741 at the University of Halle .

In 1748 Boehn became district administrator of the Schlaweschen district . In 1755 he received the title of Privy Council . He held the office of district administrator until 1763; his successor was Otto Felix Friedrich von Kameke .

After his father's death in 1720, Michael Ernst von Boehn inherited his stake in Ziegnitz and Besow . In 1753 he bought the other, smaller share in Ziegnitz, which consisted of two farms, and in January 1773 the other share in Besow. He also bought Grumbkow in 1764 in the Stolpescher Kreis .

Boehn's wife Dorothea was born from Lepel . The marriage resulted in two sons. The older, Moritz Ernst Ludwig von Boehn (* 1748; † August 19, 1811) married Dorothea von Brüsterling and took over the Ziegnitz and Besow estates after the death of his father. The younger, Adam Joachim Wilhelm von Boehn (* May 10, 1751, † 1815) married Karoline von Billerbeck († December 2, 1805) and took over the Grumbkow estate.
