Anton von Kleist

Anton Tam Gneomar Constantin von Kleist (* July 20, 1812 in Nemitz , Pomerania ; † December 21, 1886 there ) was a Pomeranian landowner, Prussian district administrator and politician.

Life

The only son of George Christian August Carl von Kleist (1769-1857) and Friederike Sophia Sabina von Flemming († 1862), widow of Eickstedt who visited Princess Hedwig School in Neustettin and then studied in Berlin law . From 1832 he was a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Pomerania . In 1834 he became an auscultator at the Higher Regional Court in Köslin . In 1837 he moved to the regional council of Köslin , where he became assessor in 1842 .

In November 1845 he took over the administrative office of the Schlawer district and since that year has lived in the Nemitz estate that his father had left with him. From 1852 to 1855 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Prussian Landtag . In 1856 he was dismissed from civil service at his request. In August of the same year he was awarded the Order of the Red Eagle, 4th class. He continued to work as a deputy of the Schlawe district for the Pomeranian landscape .

From his marriage to Marie von Natzmer (1838–1914) there were two sons.
