Peter von Glasenapp (* 1713 ; † September 5, 1787 ) was district administrator of the Demmin-Treptow district and regional director of Western Pomerania .

Life

Peter von Glasenapp was the son of Franz von Glasenapp, heir to Zarrenthin since 1713 , and Esther Dorothea von Podewils . Together with his brothers Joachim Ernst, Franz Christian and Felix, he enrolled at the University of Greifswald in September 1733 .

After an inheritance comparison with his five brothers, in 1739 he received a loan from Zarrenthin, Leussin and the Vorwerk Klinkenberg for 14,900 thalers . Together with his brother Carl Friedrich, he took over the Bentzin estate in 1750. In 1746, all six brothers acquired the four lands of the Maltzahn property in Kruckow from Hans Bernd von Maltzahn.

In 1743 he was appointed as the successor to Ernst Sigismund von Walsleben to the district administrator of the West Pomeranian district Demmin-Treptow. Because of several accidents on his property, which led to losses of several thousand thalers, he received compensation from King Friedrich II . In 1763 he became the successor of the late country director CF von Sydow. His resignation due to health problems was granted in 1766. After his successor Dietrich Christoph Gustav von Maltzahn left the service in 1771, Peter von Glasenapp was reinstated in his previous office after his recovery in early December 1772. Soon afterwards he also became country director again. The king reprimanded him in 1782, because he is said to have tried with other members of his class to split the Pomeranian credit system.

In 1774 he and his brother Felix left the goods Bentzin, Barkow and Kruckow to Major General Karl Franz von Sobeck († 1779) , who was married to Felix's daughter, Peter's niece, Magdalena Charlotte Friederike (1744-1822). He left Peter von Glasenapp, who died in 1787 without his own descendants, possession and usufruct of the goods Zarrenthin, Leussin and Klinkenberg in his will. At the same time, her son, Chamberlain Peter Franz Heinrich Ernst von Sobeck, was granted feudal entitlement to these and other Peters von Glasenapp properties by the Prussian king.

After his death, Carl von Massow , the district administrator of the Randow district, succeeded him in office as West Pomeranian regional director .
