Franziska König (born August 11, 1990 ) is a former German tennis player .

Career

König started playing tennis at the age of six and her preferred surface was the clay court. She played primarily tournaments on the ITF Women's Circuit , where she won three double titles.

She played her first professional tournament in July 2006 in Brussels , in 2013 she reached the quarter-finals of the ITF tournaments in Karst and Sharm el-Sheikh and the semifinals in Ratingen. Her last tournament so far was in Ortissei in November 2017. From September 2012 to September 2014 she was listed in the world rankings.

She competed in the 1st Bundesliga in 2007 for the TC Blau-Weiß Ludwigshafen , in 2014 , 2018 and 2019 for the MTTC Iphitos Munich in the 2nd Bundesliga .

At the "National German Indoor Tennis Championships" she reached the round of 16 in 2016 and 2017 , and in 2018 she was eliminated in the first round.
