Franziska Tschudi Sauber

Franziska Anita Tschudi Sauber (born March 25, 1959 in Glarus ) is a Swiss lawyer and entrepreneur . She is CEO of the family company Weidmann (formerly Wicor Group) and delegate of the Board of Directors . She is the fourth generation to run the company.

Career

Tschudi Sauber studied law at the University of Bern (advocate) and at Georgetown University in Washington, DC ( LL.M ). In 1987 she was admitted to the bar in the US states of New York and Connecticut . From 1991 to 1993 she completed a postgraduate degree in business management (Executive MBA ) at the University of St. Gallen .

After initial professional experience as an assistant for media law at the Institute for Constitutional and Administrative Law at the University of Bern and an attorney for business and media law in Zurich, Washington, DC and Geneva , she worked from 1992 to 1995 as Secretary General of the Swiss Industrial Association (SIG). From 1995 on, Tschudi Sauber has been a member of the management board of Weidmann Holding AG in Rapperswil-Jona, responsible for corporate development and since 1998 for the Electrical Technology business area, Asia Pacific region. Since 2001 she has been managing the family business as CEO and delegate of the Board of Directors.
