Ms. Potz is a punk rock band from Northern Germany, founded in 2007 , with roots in Husum .

history

When Escapado broke up at the end of 2011 , Ms. Potz became the main project of the three northern German punk rockers Felix Schönfuss, Hauke ​​Röh and Kerli Balkowski. The first album, released in February 2012, entitled rejects thanks, was received in various music media and in many cases on the Internet. In the music magazine Melodie und Rhythmus it was presented as album of the month and Ms. Potz was called "the band of the hour" by editor-in-chief Jürgen Winkler.

Kerli Kawumski left the band at the end of 2012, after which Ms. Potz announced a break for an indefinite period in July 2013. In the following years, Felix Schönfuss supported the Kmpfsprt group and Hauke ​​Röh joined the Station 17 group . In 2014 Felix Schönfuss founded the band Adam Angst , of which he is the main songwriter, front man and singer and whose style is compared to Mrs. Potz, not least because of his singing and lyrics.

On May 7, 2015, Ms. Potz performed despite her hiatus at the farewell concert of her label Delikatessen Tonträger in Hamburg. During this concert, as well as in interviews regarding Adam Angst, Felix Schönfuss affirmed that Ms. Potz had not finally been dissolved, but it was not clear when the band would actively make music again.

Music and lyrics

As a punk rock band, Ms. Potz bring fast hardcore punk to the stage. The texts deal with social, political and interpersonal issues. An angry and furious attitude is expressed, supported by the music and the mostly screaming lecture by Felix Schönfuss. In essence, the existence of an independent subculture outside of any social mainstream is prescribed and alternative values ​​to a misanthropic society are propagated:
