Frauensattling is a district of the city of Vilsbiburg in the Lower Bavarian district of Landshut . Until 1978 he formed an independent community.
location
Frauensattling is located about three kilometers east of Vilsbiburg in the Isar-Inn hill country .
history
The mountain saddle on which Frauensattling lies gave the village its name. Sodling and Sattling are the common names . Stone ax, stone hatchet and fragments from prehistoric times prove that the area was already settled around 4000 BC. The place is mentioned for the first time in a royal / imperial deed of foundation from 1011/1012. At that time, King Heinrich II and his wife Kunigunde donated royal goods between Vils and Rott to the newly founded diocese of Bamberg . According to a legend, the church was donated by Emperor Ludwig the Bavarian in 1322. The earliest naming of a church as "Satlern" comes from the year 1362.
Frauensattling is in the Seyboldsdorf family in 1381 . It is already referred to as "Hofmarch Satlorn" in the certificate of a mass foundation for the church on April 17, 1422, which was owned by the noble Hans Poxauer. It is possible that the Seyboldsdorfer leased the Hofmark to the Poxauer. The Poxau died out with Matthew the Younger on May 28, 1472. When the court marks were reassigned after the War of Landshut Succession , the court mark was again awarded to the noble lords of Seyboldsdorf in 1506, after whom it was named. In 1752 Frauensattling belonged to Hofmark Seyboldsdorf's own share with 18 properties , one of three Seyboldsdorf court brands.
The basis of the district court community Frauensattling from 1818 was the unchanged tax district of the same name from 1808. It belonged to the district court Vilsbiburg , later the district Vilsbiburg and had numerous districts. The local community of Solling also belonged to the rural community of Frauensattling. As part of the regional reform in Bavaria , the municipality of Frauensattling was incorporated into the city of Vilsbiburg on May 1, 1978, with a municipal area of 1300 hectares and 566 people.
