Frauenthal is a district of the Bavarian community Weiding in the Upper Palatinate district of Schwandorf .
Frauenthal is the name of a forest clearing on the Forellenbach about three kilometers west of Weiding. In this forest clearing there was a glass loop in 1881 , the so-called "fox loop ". Today (2012) located in the buildings wasteland a nursing home for people with disabilities of Dr. Loew social services . The place is synonymous with the residents of the area as "Frauenthal" and as "Fuchsenschleife".
