Frazer Ellis (born March 29, 1996 in Auckland ) is a New Zealand ice hockey player who has played for the West Auckland Admirals in the New Zealand Ice Hockey League since 2011 . From 2015 to 2017 he played in the southern hemisphere summer for the Connecticut Oilers in the Eastern Hockey League .

Career

Frazer Ellis began his career with the West Auckland Admirals in his hometown, where he was initially active in the Auckland Juniors' youth team. In 2011 he was the top scorer and most valuable player in the New Zealand Junior Elite League . In the same season he played for the first time for the Admirals in the New Zealand Ice Hockey League , in which he has completed every season and with which he won their first New Zealand championship in 2018. In the southern hemisphere summer, he has been drawn to North America regularly since 2013. After one year at the junior academy SISEC and the Sugar Land Imperials from the third-rate junior league NA3HL, he played for the Connecticut Oilers from the Eastern Hockey League from 2015 to 2017 .

International

For New Zealand, Ellis took part in the junior division at the U18 World Junior Championships in Division III in 2012 , when he was voted best player of his team, and in 2013, as well as the U20 World Championships in 2013 and 2015, also in Division III. Especially at the U20 World Cup in Division III in 2008, he was able to convince as the top scorer, top scorer and assist as well as the best attacker and best player in his team.

Ellis made his debut in the men's national team at the 2014 World Cup in Division II, in which he also played in 2017 and 2018 .
