history
The Free Waldorf School Kassel was founded in 1929. In 1969 the joint vocational training program was integrated into the classroom. The school belongs to the Federation of Independent Waldorf Schools .
Didactic approach
At the Kassel Free Waldorf School general education is combined with vocational training. In the differentiated upper level, not only high school graduates, but also future carpenters , lathe operators , milling cutters, machine fitters , electrical engineers, chemical workers, social workers, child carers and kindergarten teachers are taught. The training concludes with a journeyman's or skilled worker certificate.
Integrated overall advanced level
In the integrated overall upper level of the Free Waldorf School Kassel, the main lessons as well as gymnastics are given jointly for different school groups up to the 12th grade. The training workshops are under the direction of industrial foremen. The goods produced are integrated into the value chain as suppliers for other industrial companies. In addition, industrial internships are completed in other companies. The Abitur or the technical college entrance qualification can be taken.
