The Freisingbach is an 8.2 kilometer long right tributary of the Kainach in Styria . Its course forms the border between the municipality of Kainach near Voitsberg and the municipality of Bärnbach .

The Freisingbach arises in the northwest of the municipality Bärnbach , in the northwestern part of the cadastral municipality Piberegg , south of the Wascher farm, on the northern slope of the Hirtlkogel , directly on the border to the western part of the cadastral municipality Kainach of the municipality Kainach near Voitsberg . It flows in the upper course in less pronounced loops in the valley and in the lower course in a flat right curve and shortly before its confluence still in a left curve overall to the south-east and forms the municipal boundary between Bärnbach and Kainach near Voitsberg. Directly on the border of the cadastral communities Kohlschwarz and Bärnbach it flows west of the Piberegg Rollsiedlung and in the north of the Bärnbach district of Kleinkainach about 30 meters west of the L341 into the Kainach , which turns left shortly afterwards.

On its course, the Freisingbach takes on two larger named and several small unnamed watercourses.
