Freyssinet's 5 Marne bridges are two-lane road bridges over the Marne , which were built as prestressed concrete bridges by Campenon Bernard according to Eugène Freyssinet's plans . They are regularly dealt with in the specialist literature under the summarizing title 5 Marne bridges ( French 5 Ponts sur la Marne ).

After the success of the Pont de Luzancy built between 1941 and 1946 , the first French prestressed concrete bridge, identical prestressed concrete bridges were built in the years 1947 to 1951 in:

The bridges are similar to the Pont de Luzancy, but have a greater span of 74 m . There are flat double-jointed frame 6 prestressed concrete girders, which in front of the abutments mounted, triangular fighters stored -structures and their height decreases towards the bow apex to 1.02 m, and a slightly cantilevered slab of reinforced concrete.

The support of all bridges were prefabricated in sections on land in an established in Esbly precast plant on barges transported the bridge and there with a specially made type cable crane lifted out two steel supports and various ropes in their final position. Falsework or temporary supports in the river were therefore not required.
