Fridolin Tschugmell

Fridolin Tschugmell (born September 5, 1896 in Triesen , Liechtenstein , † September 9, 1981 in Vaduz ) was a Liechtenstein local researcher and genealogist .

biography

Fridolin Tschugmell was born as the son of an Austrian employee of the weaving mill in Triesen. He was a soldier in World War I , studied Roman Catholic theology in Innsbruck and Chur from 1920–24 and was ordained a priest in 1924. From 1924–37 he was parish provisional and pastor in Mauren (Liechtenstein) and then lived as a “parish resignation” in Triesen. 1945–80 he was chaplain at Vaduz Castle . In 1962 he became a Liechtenstein citizen and citizen of Triesen.

Tschugmell researched the family histories of most of the Liechtenstein communities and published numerous local history publications on Triesen.
