Frieda Impekoven

Frieda Impekoven née Kobler (* 1880 in Zurich ; † after 1965 ) was a Swiss woman (according to another source German ) who gave shelter to Jewish women and men in Frankfurt am Main from 1939 (documented by name from 1943) during the Nazi era supplied them with food . On March 15, 1966, she was honored by the organization Yad Vashem with the award Righteous Among the Nations .

Frieda Impekoven was the wife of Toni Impekoven , with whom she had their daughter Niddy Impekoven . She was Sabine Impekoven's sister-in-law . After the death of her husband, she returned to Switzerland.

Mrs. Wöffler

Ms. Wöffler lived in a boarding house intended for Jews and, through a telephone conversation with Frieda Impekoven, received from her that the apartment and food were temporarily provided. Mrs. Wöffler was later deported to the Theresienstadt concentration camp .

Renate Knewitz

Renate Knewitz was the daughter of Margarete Knewitz and was housed by Frieda Impekoven in her apartment (with the provision of food) during her stay with her husband on tour in Strasbourg. Until her return, Renate Knewitz had found accommodation with friends in Stuttgart . In a letter dated June 24, 1965, Renate Knewitz thanked her "with all my heart" for her help.
