Friedel Janecek (born June 15, 1905 in Mainz-Kastel ; † September 8, 1980 in Mainz ) was a German politician ( SPD , KPD , DKP ).

From 1919 to 1922 Janecek did a commercial apprenticeship in an iron shop in Mainz. 1922–1924 he worked as a warehouse clerk, 1925–1927 he was unemployed. Between 1927 and 1929 he was an employee at the Gustavsburg copper works in Gustavsburg near Mainz. From 1929 to 1931 he was editor of the social democratic Volkszeitung in Mainz and from 1931 to 1933 he ran a magazine and cigarette shop in Mainz. After the seizure of power by the Nazis, he was unemployed from 1933 to 1936 and was arrested several times. 1936–1939 he worked as a magazine advertiser and 1940–1943 as a commercial clerk at the Mainz Army Equipment Office . From 1943 to 1945 he did military service inSecond world war .

1945–1948 he was editor of the Mainzer " Allgemeine Zeitung " (Alzey edition). Between 1948 and 1950 he worked as deputy editor-in-chief of the KPD newspaper " Neues Leben " and from 1952 to 1954 as organizational secretary of the KPD Rhineland-Palatinate. From 1953 to 1956 he was editor or chief editor of the KPD newspaper "Unser Tag". From 1958 to 1960 he was an employee and head of the correspondence department of a general sales company in Mainz and from 1960 to 1969 a commercial clerk in a company for building decoration in Mainz.

politics

In 1919 he joined the central union of employees (ZdA) and the socialist youth workers . In 1922 he became a member of the SPD. In 1924 he was one of the founding members of the Mainz and Kastel local groups of the Reichsbanner Schwarz-Rot-Gold . In 1931 he was a founding member and chairman of the Socialist Workers' Party of Germany in Mainz and Rheinhessen. When the National Socialists came to power, he was unable to continue his political work. In the time of National Socialism he was a member of the German Labor Front from 1933 to 1944 and a member of the National Socialist People's Welfare from 1940 to 1944 .

After the Second World War he became a member of the KPD in 1945. From 1946–1956 he was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate regional council of the KPD and in 1947 a member of the Rheinhessen district council of the KPD. From 1946 to 1950 he was a member of the Alzey district council. In 1946 he was also a member of the National Advisory Assembly . In 1948 he became a member of the KPD's secretariat as head of organization, in 1951 head of the agriculture department at the KPD state board of Rhineland-Palatinate and in 1952 organizational secretary of the KPD Rhineland-Palatinate . In 1953 he became head of the mass organizations department of the KPD state executive. From 1952 to 1956 he was a member of the Mainz city council and chairman of the KPD parliamentary group there.

After the KPD ban , he lost his seat on the city council. In 1968 he became a member of the DKP and was there from 1969–1972 a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate district board and 1977–1980 chairman of the DKP's Rhineland-Palatinate district arbitration committee.

From 1947 to 1951 he was an honorary judge at the Constitutional Court of Rhineland-Palatinate.

Sports

Since the 1920s, he has held various functions in the workers' sports movement. From 1936 to 1944 he was a member of the NS-Reichsbund for physical exercises (including 1938–1944 as a sports warden in the Mainz canoeing club). He was the founder of the district sports committee (today Sportbund) Rheinhessen.
