Friederike Dorothea Sophia of Brandenburg-Schwedt

Friederike Dorothea Sophia von Brandenburg-Schwedt (* December 18, 1736 in Schwedt ; † March 9, 1798 in Stuttgart ) was a princess of Brandenburg-Schwedt and by marriage Duchess of Württemberg .
Life
Friederike Dorothea Sophie was a daughter of Margrave Friedrich Wilhelm von Brandenburg-Schwedt (1700–1771) from his marriage to Sophie Dorothea Marie von Prussia (1719–1765), a sister of Frederick the Great .
She married Duke Friedrich Eugen von Württemberg (1732-1797) on November 29, 1753 . The couple initially lived in Treptow an der Rega , where Friederike and her husband created a culturally significant residence.
From 1769 the family lived in Mömpelgard on the left bank of the Rhine . Friederike was described as spirited and warm. While she was Reformed , her husband was Catholic ; however, the children were raised in the Lutheran faith. Friedrich II of Prussia himself had set this condition and it was laid down in the marriage contract of September 3, 1753. The also Protestant estates therefore approved an annual sum of 25,000 guilders for raising children.
