Friedhelm Fragemann

Friedhelm Fragemann (* 1951 in Dorsten ) is a German local politician of the SPD and former mayor of the city of Dorsten.

Life

Fragemann was elected to the Dorsten City Council in 1985 . From 1991 to 1994 he led the SPD parliamentary group in the city council.

After the local elections in 1994, he was Mayor of Dorsten from October 31, 1994 to March 8, 1995 as Heinz Ritter's successor . He was elected by the city council with the votes of the SPD and the Greens . Since two votes in the city council later failed, contrary to the coalition agreement with the Greens, due to dissenters on the part of the SPD, the Greens ended the coalition and proposed the city ​​director and CDU member Karl-Christian Zahn as his successor, who then with the votes of the CDU and Greens was elected the first full-time mayor of Dorsten. Fragemann became deputy mayor.

Since 2010 he has been chairman of the SPD parliamentary group in Dorsten again . Fragemann is also deputy chairman of Tisa from the Schulenburg Foundation .

Fragemann was nominated as a top candidate by the SPD in June 2020 for the 2020 local elections . However, he did not stand for a candidate for mayor.

Fragemann is a teacher of history and social sciences at the Petrinum grammar school in Dorsten.
