Karl-Christian Zahn

Karl-Christian Zahn (born July 25, 1932 in Jannowitz / Silesia ; † August 6, 2007 in Dorsten ) was a politician ( CDU ) and long-time city ​​director of the city of Dorsten ( Recklinghausen district / North Rhine-Westphalia ) and the first full-time mayor of Dorsten . He was a holder of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany .

Life

Karl-Christian Zahn was born on July 25, 1932 in Jannowitz, Silesia. He had a doctorate in law , was married and had two daughters. He found employment first in Hildesheim and later with the Lower Saxony state government before he came to Dorsten. In 1971 he was elected director of the Hervest-Dorsten office. With the municipal reorganization in 1975 he became city director of the city of Dorsten and held this office until 1995. From 1995 to 1999 he was the first full-time mayor of Dorstens.

For years, Karl-Christian Zahn was volunteer as chairman of Lebenshilfe Dorsten eV and the Dorsten city association of the German Red Cross . He died on August 6, 2007 in Dorsten.
