Lambert Lütkenhorst

Lambert Lütkenhorst (born July 4, 1948 in Dorsten ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 1999 to 2014 he was the full-time mayor of the North Rhine-Westphalian city ​​of Dorsten.

Life

Lambert Lütkenhorst completed an apprenticeship as a book printer, after which he was technical manager. At the Catholic Social Institute (KSI) in Bad Honnef , he trained as an organizational secretary. He was district secretary, then head of the Recklinghausen regional office of the Catholic Workers' Movement (KAB) and until 1999 advisor for the world of work at the diocese of Münster .

He is married and has a daughter and two grandchildren.

In 1999 he succeeded Karl-Christian Zahn as full-time mayor of Dorsten. On September 26, 1999 he was elected with 61.3 percent of the valid votes, in 2004 he was re-elected with 64.3 percent of the valid votes, and in 2009 with 55.0 percent. For the mayoral election in 2014, he announced in November 2013 that he would no longer stand as a candidate. His successor was Tobias Stockhoff (CDU).

Lambert Lütkenhorst is involved as a member of the association council of the Lippeverband , the regional advisory board north of RWE , the administrative board of the Westphalian state theater (WLT), the advisory board of the Dorstener Jewish Museum Westphalia and the RAG regional advisory board . He is chairman of the Tisa von der Schulenburg Foundation . In the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR) he is a member of the committee for local development cooperation. He is the speaker for a voluntary radio play series in Dorsten.
