Kazumi Totaka

Kazumi Totaka ( Japanese 戸 高 一生 , Totaka Kazumi ; also known as Totakeke ( と た か け ); born August 23, 1967 in Tokyo Prefecture ) is a Japanese video game composer , voice actor and game developer .

Act

At the age of 24, Totaka was employed as a composer by the Japanese video game and game console manufacturer Nintendo in 1991 and assigned to the Nintendo Research & Development 1 department. The first game with his participation was X , released in 1992 . In the following years Totaka composed the soundtracks for Super Mario Land 2 - Six Golden Coins and The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, among other things . In 1995 he moved to the Nintendo Entertainment Analysis & Development studio as a composer , where he has been composing for series such as Animal Crossing and Wii Sports since then .

In addition, Totaka acts as a voice actor at Nintendo. Among other things, he lends the voice of the character Yoshi . For Luigi's Mansion and its successor , Totaka dubbed the character Professor I. Gidd.

Totaka made his debut as a video game director with Wii Music , a music simulation launched in 2008.

In the Animal Crossing games there is the character KK Slider, which is based on Totaka. The composer is also known for a short piece of 19 notes, called Totaka's Song, which is hidden in almost all of the games Totaka composed.
