The Hervest-Dorsten office was an office in the Recklinghausen district in North Rhine-Westphalia until 1974 .

history

As part of the introduction of the rural community order for the province of Westphalia , the two offices of Altschermbeck and Lembeck were founded in the Recklinghausen district in the former area of Herrlichkeit Lembeck in 1843 . The Altschermbeck office included the four communities Altschermbeck , Erle , Holsterhausen and Rhade and the Lembeck office included the three municipalities of Hervest , Lembeck and Wulfen . The offices of Altschermbeck and Lembeck were merged in 1929 to form the office of Hervest-Dorsten , based in Wulfen.

The previously free city of Dorsten joined the Office of Hervest-Dorsten in 1937, and the official seat was moved to Hervest in 1938. The communities of Hervest and Holsterhausen were incorporated into the city of Dorsten in 1943. Since then, the Hervest-Dorsten office has consisted of the town of Dorsten and the five communities of Altschermbeck, Erle, Lembeck, Rhade and Wulfen.

The Hervest-Dorsten Office was dissolved by the Ruhr Area Act on January 1, 1975:

  • Altschermbeck became part of the community of Schermbeck in the Wesel district , except for the Emmelkamp farmers who came to the town of Dorsten .
  • Alder became part of the Raesfeld community in the Borken district .
  • Lembeck became part of the city of Dorsten except for a part of the area that came to the municipality of Reken in the Borken district.
  • Rhade became part of the city of Dorsten.
  • Wulfen became part of the city of Dorsten.

The city of Dorsten is the legal successor to the Hervest-Dorsten office.

Justification of the coat of arms: The Office of Hervest-Dorsten was given a coat of arms in 1939 by the President of the Province of Westphalia. It is derived from the coat of arms of the city of Dorsten (key) and the coat of arms of the municipality of Lembeck (Nesselblatt); the wave bar stands for the lip .
