Friedhelm Halfmeier
Friedhelm Halfmeier (born June 30, 1914 in Bochum , † October 11, 1977 in Bonn ) was a German educator and politician ( SPD ).
Life
Halfmeier had been a secondary school teacher since 1936 and later became rector. From 1939 to 1945 he took part in the Second World War as a soldier . He joined the SPD in 1945 and was elected chairman of the SPD sub-district Lüdenscheid - Olpe in 1966 .
Halfmeier had been a council member of the city of Altena and a district councilor since 1950 . He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1969 to 1976. In parliament he represented the constituency of Lüdenscheid . From 1969 to 1970 he was mayor of Altena.
