Friedhelm Schuricht

Friedhelm Schuricht (born January 29, 1931 in Zeulenroda , Thuringia , † January 14, 2018 ) was a German politician ( SPD ). From 1986 to 1994 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Schuricht moved to Braunschweig in 1941 and attended elementary school in the Lehndorf district . From 1945 he completed an apprenticeship as a baker. From 1956 he was retrained as a lathe operator; from 1958 he was employed at the Volkswagen factory in Braunschweig . There he was a member and managing director of the works council from 1960 until his election to the state parliament in 1986. Until 1990 he was still a member of the local administration and the district commission of IG Metall , and until 1986 he worked as an honorary judge at the regional labor court.

In 1960 Friedhelm Schuricht also joined the SPD. He was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament from June 21, 1986 to June 20, 1994 (11th and 12th electoral terms). There he worked mainly in the Committee for Urban Development and Housing and in the Committee for Social and Health Services. From May 12, 1993 he was also secretary of the Lower Saxony state parliament.

His grave is in the main cemetery in Braunschweig .
