Friedhelm Wachs (born May 25, 1963 in Berlin ) is a German author and entrepreneur.

He is deputy chairman of the Working Group of Evangelical Entrepreneurs in Germany (AEU) and senator of the Junior Chamber International (JCI) , which in 2009 awarded him the title “Most outstanding Senator of the World”. Wachs is an alumnus of the Otto Suhr Institute of the FU Berlin , the Harvard Business School and holds an MBA from the HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management , of which he is a member of the supervisory board. He teaches negotiation at the University of Leipzig .

Life

In 1980 Friedhelm Wachs participated in the Olympic Youth Camp in Moscow as a competitive athlete in the swimming and javelin disciplines . As an active spokesman, he was chairman of the German Swimming Youth and chairman of the German Sports Youth .

He studied political science at the Free University of Berlin . After a stay in Moscow from 1984 to 1985, he worked as an author and Eastern Europe correspondent for Die Tageszeitung (taz) in Berlin from 1986 to 1990 and was Deputy Federal Chairman of the Young Democrats in the FRG .

As the Olympic representative of the Leipzig Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he was involved in the application of the city of Leipzig for the 2012 Summer Olympics from 2001 . In 2010, as a member of the crisis management team of the Leipzig utility and transport company , he helped clear up the financial scandal at the Leipzig municipal waterworks .

Friedhelm Wachs is married and has three children. He runs several companies and is involved in a wide range of social and cultural life in Germany.
