Friedhilde Trüün (born March 16, 1961 in Nordhorn ) is a German children's voice teacher and church musician.

biography

Friedhilde Trüün was born as the first daughter of the cattle dealer and organist Jan-Harm Trüün and the housewife Gertrud Trüün. After graduating from high school in Nordhorn, he went on to study church music at the church music school in Herford (B exam). Friedhilde was organist and choir director in Laar , her home parish, as well as in Wilsum and Nordhorn while she was still at school and at university .

After graduating from college in 1984, she took on cantor positions in Westerkappeln (1984–1986) and Reutlingen (1986–2002), where she devoted herself to children's choir work. During this time, she trained in the field of children's choir conducting and children's vocal training at the Federal Academy for Musical Youth Education in Trossingen (1986–1988), with Kurt Hofbauer in Vienna (1994) and with Hans Michael Beuerle in Freiburg (1995/96).

From 2003 to 2008 Trüün worked as an academy lecturer at the state academy for young people making music in Baden-Württemberg in Ochsenhausen in the area of advanced training for teachers and educators on the subject of "Singing with Children". There were also guest lectureships at universities and academies in Karlsruhe, Freiburg, Berlin, Saarbrücken, Bayreuth, Aachen, Würzburg, Trossingen and Wolfenbüttel, as well as seminars and advanced training events at various church, public and private sponsors, such as For example, at the Werkwoche of the Archdiocese of Freiburg, the Association of Protestant Church Music in Württemberg, the nationwide initiative "Zukunftsmusiker" or "Singing Kindergartens", which was awarded the German Culture Promotion Prize in 2012, or at the mentor training "Singing with Children" by the Ministry for Culture, youth and sport Baden-Württemberg. Friedhilde Trüün is also repeatedly asked as a jury member at competitions. Numerous publications as an author and editor emerged from her own practical work with children in kindergartens, schools and children's choirs. In particular, her concept of voice training work in children's choirs with the help of voice training stories (“SingSangSong”) met with a very positive response.

Since 2009 Trüün has been a lecturer in children's choir conducting and voice training at the Evangelical College for Church Music in Tübingen . In this role she not only holds seminars for students, but also directs the children's choir "Tübinger Neckarschwalben". It is important to her to reach sections of the population who are “far removed from singing”. Her projects with educational assistance students within the framework of the Foundation for Preventive Youth Welfare testify to this. Her book “Come on, sing with me. Because every child can learn to sing “wants to bring singing into the family as early as possible. The annual grandparents-parent-child singing O-Ma-Ki (grandpa - mom - child), coined by Friedhilde Trüün, also serves this purpose. The "SingBach" project, which was initiated for the first time in 2010, caused a sensation, in which Friedhilde Trüün sang Bach melodies with 200–300 third graders of various origins .

In December 2015 she was appointed honorary professor at the Evangelical University for Church Music in Tübingen.
