description

Church, gate and bell tower

The Protestant church in the middle of the well-fortified, walled-in old cemetery is a small early-Gothic hall building that has been given its current appearance through renovations since the 15th century, especially in 1738 and 1851/60. A sacrament niche and a Gothic pointed arch window in the choir have been preserved from the early structure . Inside, the church is spanned by a flat ceiling and has a three-sided gallery in the nave . The organ loft with an organ from 1851 and the pulpit altar are arranged in a vertical axis in front of the choir, while the choir itself is divided as a sacristy .

The free-standing bell tower of the church was built in 1631 and expanded in 1738 with Gothic-style windows on the upper floor and half-timbered gable. The tower is not only used to accommodate the four bells in the belfry at the level of the Gothic windows, but is also the gate tower of the cemetery.

Several historical tombstones from the 18th and 19th centuries have been preserved in the cemetery, including the scrollwork tombstone of a pastor's daughter.
