Oberkotzau cemetery chapel
The cemetery chapel Oberkotzau bearing the name since 1977 Christ Church bears is one in the cemetery of Oberkotzau , a market in the Upper Franconian district of Hof ( Bayern ), located chapel and one of the monuments of the town.
Origin and equipment
The chapel was built in 1740 over the crypt of the Barons von Kotzau , once patron saints, and inaugurated in 1741 with the burial of Georg Albrecht von Brandenburg-Kulmbach's son, who died early . It is the only surviving baroque building in the village, which also bears the characteristics of the margrave style . The church is in the southeast corner of the cemetery. With double galleries on three sides, it has an impressive capacity. It is also equipped with a pulpit altar . Several epitaphs from the 17th and 18th centuries were attached to the outer walls .
