Friedmar Lüke

Friedmar Lüke (born  May 19, 1932 in Bremen ; †  February 1, 2012 in Kirchheim unter Teck ) was a journalist and radio director of the Süddeutscher Rundfunk .

Life

Lüke studied philosophy and was at the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg in 1962 when Arnold Bergstraesser with a thesis on Henrik Steffens PhD .

Since his traineeship at Südwestfunk in 1959, Lüke also worked as an editor, reporter and commentator. He remained connected to the house and rose there to the position of deputy head of the time radio department. From 1969 he headed the radio program SWF 1 in Baden-Baden.

From 1970 Lüke worked for the Süddeutscher Rundfunk in Stuttgart, initially as "Head of Current Radio", and since 1974 as broadcast manager. There he founded the political magazine "Südfunk aktuell", among other things. Lüke also designed the new pop wave Südfunk 3 , which was later renamed SDR 3 .

Friedmar Lüke had been the radio program director at SDR since 1987 and was also in charge of the Schwetzingen Festival until his retirement ten years later .
