Friedrich-Karl Bassier

Friedrich-Karl Bassier (* before 1952; † April 11, 1996 ) was a German mine director.

Life

In 1952, Friedrich-Karl Bassier at the Technical University of Aachen to Dr. Ing. PhD. He was mining director of Bergbau AG Niederrhein and in 1969 after the sale of the Thyssen-Bornemisza family, director of Ruhrkohle AG . Bassier was for many years head of the coal mine Walsum , a coal - mining and large pit with power plant with more than 3,000 employees in the area of the city of Duisburg in Duisburg-Walsum . He introduced the full mechanization of the mine workings.

Bassier published numerous papers on the mining industry. He held several patents.

In 1966 he was appointed Knight of the Order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher by Cardinal Grand Master Eugène Cardinal Tisserant and invested in the Augsburg Cathedral on December 3, 1966 by Lorenz Cardinal Jaeger , Grand Prior of the German Lieutenancy . He was last Commander of the Order.
