Friedrich August Wahl

Friedrich August Wahl (born December 4, 1902 in Wiesbaden , † January 21, 1985 in Cologne ) was a German gynecologist .

Wahl studied medicine up to the doctorate and became a specialist . During his studies in 1922 he became a member of the Strasbourg fraternity Arminia zu Tübingen . From 1932 he worked as a private lecturer in gynecology, first at the Philipps University of Marburg , then at the Cologne University Clinic from 1934 to 1950. In 1938 he became an adjunct professor at the University of Cologne . From 1940 he was senior physician and in 1945 head of the university women's clinic as successor to Hans Naujoks . In Cologne, he was under the Law for the Prevention of Genetically Diseased Offspring of forced sterilization involved women. He had been a member of the NSDAP since 1932 and of the SA since 1933 . He was also a supporting member of the SS as well as in the Nazi lecturers' association and chairman of the Nazi medical association . In November 1933 he signed the confession of the German professors about Adolf Hitler .
