Friedrich Bischoff (painter)
Friedrich Bischoff (born November 18, 1819 in Ansbach , † November 19, 1873 in Erlangen ) was a German genre painter .
Born the son of a master locksmith, Bischoff attended Latin school (today Carolinum grammar school ), began humanities studies at the University of Munich , shortly afterwards he studied at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts from October 26, 1835 to November 29, 1844 , as a master class student from 1842 .
Then Bischoff worked as a freelance artist in Munich until 1864. In 1845 he became a member of the Munich Art Association .
Bischoff fell ill in 1864 and returned to his parents' house in Ansbach. Since then he has only created a few pictures. From July 1873 he was sent to a sanatorium in Erlangen, where he died.
