Friedrich Bormann

Friedrich Bormann (born December 15, 1828 in Liebenwerda ; † February 19, 1922 ) was railway director and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

In Saarbrücken, the Bormannspfad near the main train station was named in honor of Friedrich Bormann

Bormann attended the Francke Foundations in Halle from 1842 to 1847 and the Royal Building Academy in Berlin from 1850 to 1852 and from 1856 to 1857. Between 1880 and 1888 he was railway director in Saarbrücken . Later he was director of the Grand Ducal Oldenburg Railway and was involved in railway projects in East Africa.

From 1884 to 1889 he represented constituency No. 6 in the Trier administrative district for the German Reich Party in the German Reichstag (this constituency comprised Ottweiler , St. Wendel and Meisenheim ).
