Friedrich Brodersen

Friedrich Brodersen , pseudonym Friedrich Brode (born December 1, 1873 in Boll , † March 19, 1926 in Krefeld ) was a German opera singer ( baritone ).

Life

Brodersen, son of the administrator in Bad Boll, initially devoted himself to technical studies at the Stuttgart building trade school, after which he worked as an engineer and architect. His beautiful voice was already noticed as a student, and as it grew in strength, he took singing lessons from Heinrich Bertram and, after auditioning, was engaged at the Nuremberg Municipal Theater (1900). In 1903 he was hired for the Munich court theater, where he worked until 1920.

He later worked as a concert singer, primarily as a song interpreter. His daughter, the pianist Linde von Sauer-Brodersen , often played the piano for him. Under the pseudonym Friedrich Brode , he released some records on Beka .

After Brodersen is Brodersenstraße named in the 13th district of Munich. His grave in the Munich forest cemetery no longer exists.
