Friedrich Brodnitz

Friedrich Samuel Brodnitz (born September 25, 1899 in Berlin , † October 19, 1995 in New York ) was a German-American doctor and Jewish functionary in Germany during the National Socialist era .

Life

The son of Julius Brodnitz was after his doctorate to Dr. med. from 1923 to 1924 assistant doctor at the University Clinic for Internal Diseases in Berlin. From 1924 to 1926 he worked at the Clinic for Ear, Nose and Throat Diseases, also in Berlin.

He was active in the CV and in the Jewish self-help organization Central Committee for Help and Development and a member of the extended Jewish Agency and of Keren Hajessod . He was also (from 1934) press chief of the Reich Representation of German Jews and was involved in the establishment of the Jewish Cultural Association . From 1933 to 1937 he was president of the "Reich Committee of Jewish Youth Associations".

He was also editor of the journal Jüdische Wohlfahrtspflege und Sozialpolitik and from 1933 to 1935 he was co-editor of the information sheets of the above-mentioned company. Central Committee for Help and Development . In 1937 he emigrated to the USA .
