Friedrich Peltz (born July 8, 1844 in Halberstadt , † October 5, 1914 in Wernigerode ; full name: Friedrich Carl Peltz ) was a German architect and Prussian construction officer .

Career

Friedrich Peltz was probably a student at the Berlin Building Academy , where, after studying for several years, he also passed the first state examination on December 17, 1870, including the building manager's exam. After further years of practical and theoretical training, the second state examination to become a government architect followed in June 1875 . In recognition of his talents demonstrated during the examination, Peltz was granted a scholarship of 1,800 marks in 1876 to perfect his knowledge on study trips. At that time, those honored often used their scholarships to study the Neo-Renaissance for stays in Italy and France. As a result, Peltz worked together with Johann Eduard Jacobsthal on the drafts for the new regional court building in Dortmund, before he was employed as a farming inspector in the technical office of the construction department of the Prussian Ministry of Public Works in Berlin in October 1885.

In February 1886 Peltz was transferred to Halle and commissioned with the drafting and subsequent construction management for the reception building at the local train station. He remained involved with this task as a technical member of the Royal Government in Potsdam until its implementation in May 1892. At the turn of the year 1894/1895 there was another move to Posen, where Peltz was appointed government and building councilor after a short time and transferred to the local royal government. Friedrich Peltz took up his last post in October 1900 and moved to the Royal Government in Stade as head of the building construction department.

Immediately after Peltz was retired on April 1, 1912, he left Stade and moved to Wernigerode. There he died widowed in 1914.
