Friedrich Franz of Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel
Friedrich Franz Prince of Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel (* June 8, 1732 ; † October 14, 1758 near Hochkirch ) was a prince from the House of Welfs , Duke of Braunschweig and Lüneburg and Prussian major general .
Life
Prince Friedrich Franz was born in 1732 as the eighth and youngest son of Prince Ferdinand Albrecht II of Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel and Antoinette Amalie of Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel . He had a total of 14 siblings. Like his brothers Ferdinand and Albrecht , he entered Prussian service at an early age and distinguished himself in the Seven Years' War . He died at the age of 26 in the Battle of Hochkirch as major general and commander of an infantry regiment. He was buried in the Brunswick Cathedral .
