Friedrich Frey – Fürst (born June 9, 1882 in Unterentfelden , † July 19, 1953 in Lucerne , legal resident in Unterentfelden and Lucerne) was a Swiss businessman .

Life

Frey did an apprenticeship as an electrician in Aarau and later studied electrical engineering in Burgdorf . In 1907 he founded an installation company in Lucerne , which among other things worked for hotels. Nine years later (1916) he founded Elektrowerke Reichenbach, which operated its own power plants and carbide factories .

In 1925 he bought all of the hotels and railways on the Bürgenstock and was responsible for the successful reorientation. The Giessbach Hotel on Lake Brienz , which was threatened with demolition, including the railway, he acquired in 1947 and ensured the continuation of the facilities.

Friedrich Frey held various board memberships and presided over various associations. He found his final resting place in the Friedental cemetery .
