Friedrich Gottlieb Michaelis

Friedrich Gottlieb Michaelis (* 1726 in Bernstein ; † July 3, 1781 in Berlin ) was a Prussian minister .

Life

Friedrich Gottlieb was a son of the pharmacist and mayor Aegidius Friedrich Michaelis in Bernstein (1688–1755) and Dorothea Luise Brock (1707–1785). He attended the Joachimsthal High School and studied in Frankfurt / Oder from 1743 . After that he was court master of the young gentleman von Wilmersdorf . As a regimental quartermaster in the Buddenbrock regiment , he came to Silesia , where he was tax councilor in Liegnitz in 1759 and then war and domain councilor in Breslau . In 1767 he became the first director of the Kurmark District Chamber of Deputies, in 1776 he became Finance Councilor in the General Directorate and finally, in 1779, he became Minister with responsibility for the Kurmark Provincial Department of the Central Authority. He continued to be in charge of the entire salt and postmaster general of the postal administration in Prussia.
